We’re proud to announce that Durable Digital is one of just three nominees for the coveted “Jury’s Choice” award at the 2025 Umbraco Awards. Selected from more than 200 global submissions, the honor is presented at Umbraco’s annual Codegarden conference in Odense, Denmark.
Our nomination is for LDF Recollection: A Civil Rights Legal Archive, a digital archive and storytelling platform built for the Legal Defense Fund’s Thurgood Marshall Institute. The site preserves landmark case files, correspondence, photographs, and oral histories from the U.S. civil rights movement, making decades of legal history searchable, accessible, and ready for public scholarship.

The composable nature of Umbraco was fully leveraged for this enterprise-level solution. It marks the first-ever integration of Umbraco with Preservica, the leading digital preservation system. A customized Microsoft Dynamics 365 app—also integrated with Umbraco—allows the LDF archives team to manage the entire records digitization process, from tracking physical storage boxes to metadata management, legal review, and website management.
This recognition marks Durable Digital’s third nomination for an Umbraco Award, following recent wins for Best Designed Site and Best Custom Solution.
