Peter Gassiraro

Partner, New York

Peter is responsible for Durable’s Strategy and Client Services practices. He also runs the New York office. His background includes marketing research, branding, advertising and television. He has over 16 years of digital experience at a senior level.

Prior to joining Durable, Peter was Head of Interactive, U.S. for The Brand Union (WPP), one of the largest and best-noted branding firms worldwide, where he led all aspects of many interactive assignments for American Express, Hewlett-Packard, the Ford Foundation and Pernod Ricard, among others. Peter also led Client Services in the U.S., was a member of the U.S. Management Committee and was a WPP Digital Advisory Board member.

Before joining The Brand Union, Peter was a principal and V.P. Account Director at Corsair, an interactive agency in New York where he worked with clients including Nabisco, Lexmark, Tishman Speyer Properties, Prudential Douglas Elliman, The Rockefeller Foundation, Insignia Financial Group, The NAACP and SushiSamba Restaurants. Peter was also responsible for the leadership of Corsair’s User Experience Practice. Prior to Corsair, Peter was an Engagement Director at Maritz Performance Improvement Company, where he led very large-scale e-learning and sales force automation assignments for IBM and Nabisco.

Before moving into interactive work, Peter was Executive Producer of a highly successful PBS cooking show and has an additional, thirteen years of advertising agency experience — last serving as V.P. Account Supervisor at Weiss/Watson (Omnicom) for clients such as Phillip Morris U.S.A., AT &T, Akzo/Nobel, Thomas Cook and Veuve Clicquot. Prior to Weiss/Watson, Peter worked at Jordan, McGrath, Case & Taylor (now Arnold NYC) in client services and marketing research on the Proctor & Gamble, Miller Brewing, Squibb, Kobrand and Midlantic National Bank accounts.

Peter attended New York University (BS Marketing) and is a WPP Maestro graduate.
