Angela is the head of Durable’s UX practice and also runs the Washington office. She is passionate about user-centered design and accessibility. Angela ensures that the design systems Durable creates are beautiful, easy to maintain and flexible enough to adapt to future needs—a philosophy instilled through her prior work on complex branding programs.
Prior to joining Durable, Angela was a design director for The Brand Union, working in their Madrid and New York offices. During her tenure, she led design efforts for clients such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Vodafone and BBVA. Angela was also the lead designer on digital assignments for the Ford Foundation, Pernod Ricard and HP among others.
Angela also worked as a designer with Potion, an interactive firm founded by two MIT Media Lab graduates. There, she helped create architecturally integrated interactive experiences for cultural and corporate environments using projection, touch screens, and other unconventional displays. Clients included The Morgan Library and Museum, University of Pennsylvania, and Toll Brothers.
Early in her career, Angela worked with the interdisciplinary design agency Imagination where she developed print, digital, and environmental graphic systems for corporate events.
Angela received her BFA in graphic design from Western Michigan University, and also attended the University of Art and Design in Basel, Switzerland.
